So,
just what does all this mean? Just how portable are Starmaster Portable
Telescopes? Well, one of our customers transports his 14.5" in a Ford
Escort. Another carries his 16" f/5 AND his 10" Meade LX-200 in a 2
door Ford Explorer. At a recent star party, we also test-fit a 20"
f/4.5 into the same vehicle (he's putting quarters into his piggy-bank
for an upgrade). We have an 18" that is being hauled around in a SAAB
station wagon, and a 24" will easily fit in most mini-vans.Note: Any of
our scopes may be loaded by one person with the mirror and cell
remaining in the scope when using transport handles and loading ramps.
Minimum opening height required is 34" as the mirror box may be tilted
slightly to reduce the stated height of the stacked transport
dimension. This effectively reduces the height to the top of the
altitude bearing by as much as 4"-5".

All major components of
Starmaster Telescopes are made with pride in the United States of
America by small, community based companies.
Note:
-Cancelled orders will be subject to a restocking fee which will be equal
to 15% of the BASE price of the telescope, NO EXCEPTIONS.
-Orders are not transferable without permission of Starmaster Telescopes and will be subject to additional fees.
-Due to a shortage of pyrex mirror blanks, we are no longer accepting international orders, except from Canada.
